All I can say is WOW, what an amazing day.
OK, so the flight was a little long and it took us a while to figure out the
public transportation here, but we think we have that mastered now. So much to
see, everywhere is a picture. And yes I have taken plenty. Camera battery is
dead and recharging right now or you would be seeing a few.
Met with several other riders this evening and just enjoyed relaxing after a day
of exploring the city. We were able to find the Astronomical clock that is in
the Old Town Square which was one of the things I really wanted to see while we
were here.
Tomorrow afternoon is our official sign in for the ride and we will learn all
about the routes we will be taking. Gia and I decided to skip the pre-party
tonight and just enjoy the city. My bike is here and ready for me. It ended up
being a 'Silver' Street Glide instead of the Red one, which is great as silver
is my favorite color on a bike. All the streets are cobble stone and of course
they have all kinds of different signs. I am thankful it is not supposed to
rain at all while we are here as I am sure the streets would be very slippery.
While we were sitting outside having lunch (all kinds of outside dinning around)
there was a truck that came thru to sprinkle the street. We are thinking they
do that to keep any dust down. Glad we had a chance to explore today with both
public transportation and walking because when we are on those bikes there will
be no site seeing or pictures.
Looking forward to tomorrow so calling it a night as it is 12:00pm here.
Later,
Sheryl

Not exactly sure but you had to get on it to peddle it. Just one of the strange
things we saw. I took 76 pictures.
Still feeling a little like I was run over by a bus. Think it will take a
little bit for me to catch up on sleep.
Gia and I have both agreed that we will have to be extremely cautious on the
roads in Prague. What did you think of that Huge plate on the back of the
bike??
Just woke up, need coffee. We are 6 hrs. ahead here.

Sheryl

I just realized as I sat here writing to Mark that I missed a great
opportunity. I should have told you that the strange looking bike was what we
were riding for the entire tour.
Now I need coffee so my brain can kick in.

Subject: Today's journey was into
Croatia
We are spending the night in Zagreb which is the capital of Croatia and in the
morning we are moving on to Zadar which is on the Adriatic Coast. Today we did
not get into the city until late because of a hold up at the boarder where they
were giving a couple in our group a hard time about entry. We do take a lot for
granted or I guess I should say I take a lot for granted. We did not have any
problems getting across the boarder. It is very interesting to chat with the
members of our group and hear about their countries.
Didn't really take many pictures today as we spent the day riding the awesome
back roads of Hungary and Croatia. Twisty and hilly but still extremely narrow.
It is so interesting to ride thru these little towns and every one is in awe at
the bikes.
Sending you a few pictures I took the day before at lunch in Dunaflodvar,
Hungary. First 2 are at a castle in town that I took a hike to see on our lunch
break. Then there is the group picture on the square. Over here you park you
bike on the side walks or where ever. We took over this little park in town but
all the people really enjoyed the bikes. They are not used to seeing large
groups of bikes go through like this.
After we got to our hotel in Lake Balaton (which is considered the "Hungarian
sea", we took a short put up into to town. I found these little shops to be
really interesting.
All for now,
Sheryl

Subject: Awesome day in
Budepest
Hard to believe, but each day is just as amazing if not more so than the day
before.
This morning after a wonderful buffet breakfast here at the hotel we all
lined up in front of the hotel for our escorted tour of Budapest. Wow, is
all I have to say. This is a huge city and we were escorted through town
with every intersection blocked for us. At our 1st stop we were also
greeted by the president of Hungary who left Parlament to come over to
greet us. We also had a camera crew with us for the tour and got to
actually park on the grounds for the one of the monuments. One of the
security guards for the monument told us we could not be there and the owner
of the dealership called the president who said, oh yes they can!! What a
wonderful reception.
Ok so all for today, want to attach a few pictures from the day and then I
need to get packed up as we move out early in the morning.
Started this last night and got bumped out of internet for the night.
Tonight we do not have service so I walked on down the road to send a few
messages. So you only get old news today and just a couple pictures as on is
a panaranmic.
Later,
Sheryl
